Felix Herngren is Founder, Creative Director and co-owner of FLX.
Felix is a renowned director and actor as well as a popular and well-known comedian. He has worked in the business for over 20 years and has been listed as one of the top-5 commercial directors in the world by The Gunn Report.
Felix had his breakthrough with the television-hit S*M*A*S*H in the beginning of the nineties, and his on screen characters Papi Raul, Dan Bäckman and Tim Hibbins have all become cult icons. In 1999 he made his feature film debut with the comedy Adult Behavior (Vuxna Människor), a film he both directed and acted in together with Fredrik Lindström. In 2006 his second comedy Every Other Week (Varannan Vecka) was released, a film he also wrote, directed and acted in together with Hannes Holm, Hans Ingemansson and Måns Herngren.
In January 2010 the endlessly popular TV-series Solsidan premiered on Swedish television. The series had the channel’s highest viewing of the decade and has won multiple awards. Solsidan has now finished its fourth season and Felix is still writing, directing as well as playing one of the lead characters in the show. Felix was also showrunner for the first three seasons before handing over the helm to his brother Måns Herngren.
Felix has been working on the film adaptation of the bestselling Swedish novel The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared. A film he has both written and directed. The film premiered in Sweden on Christmas Day 2013.
PONTUS EDGREN (b. 1969)
Pontus Edgren is Managing Director and co-owner of FLX.
Prior to joining FLX in 2012, Pontus served as Managing Director of the production company Jarowskij (2009-2012), part of the Zodiak Media Group. During this time the company was established as a leading Scandinavian comedy producer with hits like Solsidan (co-produced with FLX), Kontoret, Parlamentet, Timeout and Extra Extra. Pontus was also one of the creators of, as well as a scriptwriter for, Solsidan.
Before assuming the role as Managing Director, Pontus had roles within Jarowskij as Divisional Head for Comedy, Creative Director and Executive Producer.
Prior to Jarowskij, Pontus worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co (2001-2003) and as Marketing Director for Newspapers & Magazines Division within Modern Times Group (1998-2000). Pontus holds an MBA from INSEAD (The Dr. Marcus Wallenberg Scholarship) and a BBA from Lund University and The Wharton School.
Niclas Carlsson is Executive Producer, Showrunner and co-owner of FLX.
Prior to joining FLX in 2012 Niclas had a long and successful career in advertising. Niclas played a key-role in developing many of Sweden’s most successful advertising campaigns over the decades. Concepts like the viral hit “Judit and Judit” for Comhem as well as the everlasting commercial sitcom for the grocery chain ICA, has turned him into one of Sweden’s most acclaimed copywriters.
Niclas has an education from Berghs School of Communication and 20 years of experience as copywriter and creative director on some of Sweden’s most renowned ad agencies. With an ever-growing appreciation for film and the film industry Niclas now dedicates his storytelling skills to the screen. Today he writes for FLX productions like Solsidan, Bonsufamiljen, Sjölyckan, Boy Machine and Torpederna.
